Over a hundred years ago, a fire roared through West Bend. This tragedy was one of the worst for our community and touched the lives of many people.

Because of that fire, our company was formed. And even then, we began to show that something good can come from something bad.

Over time, people have come to expect this of us. To call with problems and leave with solutions.

As time passes, things change. But not our reason for being.

  • West Bend is consistently ranked at the top in the industry-wide Ease of Doing Business Index® ratings by Deep Customer Connections.

  • West Bend was honored with the 2010 Company Award of Excellence from the Minnesota Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers. The award is presented each year to a company and its employees who have shown dedication to the American Agency System and the agencies they represent. West Bend is described by the MIIAB as "one of the most outstanding and respected insurance companies in Minnesota, as well as in the other states they represent.

  • West Bend was honored in 2008 with the Wisconsin Organizational Philanthropy Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals. In a 12-month period, 68 grants totaling $180,588 were awarded to charitable organizations located in southeastern and central Wisconsin through West Bend Mutual Insurance Company's Charitable Fund which ties giving to associate volunteerism. Each cause must be recommended by one of West Bend's 1,000-plus associates who, in many cases, also volunteer for the non-profit organization.
