As an accounting intern, you'll have general accounting duties, including assistance with general payables, financial schedules, data entry, financial analysis, account reconciliations, and other duties as needed.
As a claim representative support intern, you'll review and analyze policies to verify coverage, establish reserves, and settle claims for less complex losses. Other responsibilities include contact with customers to explain coverage, settle their claims, and contribute to the high customer service results within the Claims Department. You'll also help various claims teams following catastrophe storms.Claims Internship – Workers' Compensation
As a claims intern on our Workers' Compensation team, you'll review and analyze lower-severity injury claims, research and verify coverage, conduct thorough investigations, and evaluate damages and liability for workers’ compensation losses. Other responsibilities include monitoring file activity with a diary system, reviewing and processing written and telephonic inquiries, ensuring proper reserving, and maintaining a high level of customer service.
As an underwriting intern, you'll have exposure to a variety of classroom and on-the-job learning opportunities, and will work on a variety of special projects. We also feel it's important to have a chance to learn about other functions within our organization, including claims, loss prevention, sales, marketing, and actuarial, so our underwriting interns spend time job shadowing in other areas.IT Intern – Application Development
As an application developer intern, you'll work closely with customers, business analysts, quality assurance, and other implementation team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions.IT Intern – Database Administration
Gain practical experience in database administration (DBA) by working closely with experienced DBA professionals, application developers, business analysts, quality assurance analysts, and business partners. With guidance, you'll be involved in the software development life cycle, logical data administration, and physical database design.IT Intern – Desktop Support
As an IT support intern, you'll gain practical experience in desktop support, IT operations, and network management by working closely with our IT and business partners. Using basic knowledge and skills obtained through education and on-the-job training, you'll field incoming help desk calls from customers via phone, ticket system, and e-mail in a courteous and timely manner.
IT Intern – Quality Assurance
As a quality assurance analyst intern, you'll carry out procedures to ensure all information systems products and services meet organization standards and end-user requirements. You'll also identify commonly-used test cases as candidates for test automation and develop scripted automated test cases for repeated use.
As our loss prevention intern, you'll have the opportunity to learn all about loss prevention! Find out how terminology, materials, and training programs apply to customer needs. You'll shadow experienced loss prevention reps and learn first-hand how they conduct surveys and create reports after a claim occurs.
