At this time of year, it’s common to see news reports with video footage of tornadoes touching down, destroying communities, and wreaking havoc with people’s lives. Unfortunately, each year tornadoes cause roughly $400 million in damages.
I’ve been fortunate; I’ve never personally experienced the devastation of a tornado. I can’t imagine how difficult it is for people to get their lives back on track after they lose everything. There’s so much for them to think about when trying to rebuild their lives.
If physical property, such as a house or car, is destroyed, people usually know they need to talk to representatives of their insurance company, their financial/lending institutions, etc. But what about identity theft?
