West Bend Mutual Insurance Company is a proud sponsor of the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer). During the 2014 baseball season, West Bend partnered with the Milwaukee Brewers to raise funds for the MACC Fund. For every double hit by a Brewer this season, West Bend made a $50 donation. With 297 doubles, West Bend will present a check for $14,850 to the MACC Fund. Way to go Brewers! Way to go MACC Fund!
The MACC Fund is a charitable organization founded in 1976 by Jon McGlocklin and Eddie Doucette, former Milwaukee Buck and former Buck’s announcer. The MACC Fund’s mission is to support pediatric cancer and related blood disorder research in Wisconsin. Cancer is the leading disease-related cause of death in children after the newborn period. Since its inception, the MACC Fund has contributed more than $50 million to this cause.
