Teen Driving Resources

West Bend cares about keeping teen drivers safe. That's why we offer our policyholders many resources to help their teens learn and incorporate safe driving techniques. We also provide annual premium discounts to our policyholders whose teen drivers complete safety programs delivered by our partners!

Road America®

We’ve partnered with Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin to offer discounted rates for two beneficial programs, Teen Driving and Winter Driving. These in-vehicle driving classes allow participants to experience common emergency situations while in a safe, controlled, off-street environment. Drivers practice collision avoidance techniques that include emergency lane changes, braking, skid control, and a variety of other fundamental car control drills.

teenSMART®

We've also partnered with ADEPT Driver® to offer teenSMART, an online program that includes video learning segments, realistic driving simulations, and parent-teen, in-car driving activities. This program teaches new drivers to anticipate dangerous situations, recognize how risk changes as they drive, increase situational awareness, and expect the unexpected.
