The Silver Lining® at Work for You
West Bend’s Workers’ Compensation Claims team works hard to deliver Silver Lining Service to our policyholders and their employees. Here’s how:
The Silver Lining NurseAdvantage is our qualified nurse case manager program. Using their experience in the medical field, these professionals carefully examine the medical aspects of Workers’ Compensation claims to reduce the duration of the disability, as well as the cost. This not only helps control the cost of these claims, it results in a more positive outcome for both policyholders and their employees.
West Bend’s Narcotic Task Force developed a comprehensive program that executes strategies to cut down on the use of narcotic medication, while emphasizing education, early intervention, and comprehensive evaluations. The goals of this program are favorable outcomes, and more importantly, restoring the quality of life of injured workers. West Bend’s expertise-driven culture provides our claim staff with the knowledge, tools, and resources needed to attack this growing problem.
West Bend’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) helps our policyholders manage loss costs through an integrated program aimed at early detection and resolution of questionable claims. Our commitment is straightforward – deliver timely, thorough, and efficient investigative service. Our goal is simple: Stop fraud in its tracks.
West Bend’s Early-Return-to-Work Program can significantly reduce the amount of time an employee is off work after a work-related injury, illness, or disease, and reduce our Work Comp policyholders’ premium costs by decreasing disability periods.
