Content Contributor Agreement

If you’re a content writer who would like to contribute to our blog, West Bend Cares, please review our guidelines. 


CONTRIBUTOR TOPICS

The purpose of our content is to give a personal touch to insurance, while providing useful and actionable safety topics to our policyholders, agents, prospects, and consumers. Topics must be mutually agreed upon. West Bend reserves the right to publish the content in appropriate and multiple places.


NOTIFICATION

Due to the large number of submissions received, West Bend is unable to reply to all. If your submission is accepted, you will be notified within 14 business days.


CONTENT

Content must be the guest contributor’s own original work and not published anywhere else online. Plagiarism is not permitted and will be reported. When quoting others, please credit your sources accordingly. West Bend reserves the right to refuse publication and remove content at any time. To avoid any conflicts of interest, direct promotion of your product and services is not allowed.  


EDITING

West Bend reserves the right to edit the content to ensure it stays consistent with our values and voice. Final edits will be shared with and agreed upon by the contributor before publishing.


IMAGES

If images accompany a guest post, rights for online use of the image must be purchased by the contributor. West Bend reserves the right to replace images if needed. Images are not required.


PROMOTION AGREEMENT

At the content conclusion, the author’s bio and a backlink to their appropriate business website will be included. West Bend will promote the content on social media channels. The contributor agrees to post on at least one social media channel.
