Trucking equipment entry and exit: three points of contact tips (video)

The process of entering and exiting the truck cab is a common and essential part of a truck driver’s day. Something that’s done this often can become a routine, and many times drivers aren’t even thinking about how to get into and out of their cabs safely. However, this very activity can cause significant injuries to drivers and because they do it so often, the risk is high. Slips and falls while entering or exiting a cab can cause serious back injuries or concussions. By wearing appropriate footwear and ensuring three points of contact are maintained as much as possible while getting into or out of the cab, drivers can protect themselves from injuries while doing this simple daily task.
